Pablo Santacana López (Madrid, 1991) holds a Master of Architecture from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM) and the Faculdade de Arquitetura de São Paulo (FAU USP), as well as a Master of Arts from the Institute for Art in Context at the Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK). He recently completed his PhD at the bFaculty of Art and Design of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar within the DFG "Identity and Heritage" research training group. 

In 2014, Pablo Santacana López co-founded the art collective Vendedores de Humo with Marta M. Legido, developing projects related to territorial identity and the political implications of site-specific images. In 2019,  they established the graphic design spin-off Humo Estudio, which provides graphic systems for major cultural clients such as Intermediae Matadero, Fundación Mapfre, Sant Andreu Contemporary or Haus der Statistik.

His work has been exhibited internationally at Savvy Contemporary, Gropius Bau, n.g.b.k., ZK/U, and HKW in Berlin; Matadero Madrid; Galería Pivô in São Paulo; Centro de Memoria, Paz y Reconciliación Bogotá and Lapa Project in Johannesburg. He has participated in the Venice Architecture Biennale, Manifesta 14, documenta fifteen, and the Istanbul Design Biennial.  

As a collaborator, he has worked with Ecosistema Urbano, Raumlabor Berlin, Studio Miessen, Luis Úrculo and Izaskun Chinchilla. He is also a member of the decolonial platform decolonizeM21, the Contextual Research collective and co-founded the Architecture-in-Residence (A-I-R) program in Luckenwalde.
