Curating the 2019 reactivation of the Octagon, a former cableway cabin situated in the backyard of the University of the Arts (UdK) Berlin. After years of  physical decline, the space was refurbished and reactivated as student-run kiosk hosting a weekly program of performances, exhibitoions and workshops. The project addressed a vital structural shortage within the Art in Context Master’s program: the lack of a physical "heart" for a temporary community that often feels fragmented by the university's decentralized layout.

Over a ten-week period from May to July, the Octagon was curated as a laboratory for commoning The program was built upon four pillars: Recycle (utilizing existing university resources and underused infrastructures), Share (designing an inclusive space for cross-institutional exchange), Make Visible (showcasing artistic processes that defy traditional academic categorization), and Celebrate (valuing leisure and non-productive time as essential components of knowledge production).
The kiosk was succesively turned  into a radio station by Gözde Güngör,  into a bureaucratic migration office by Anna Bochkova, into a cloudy atmosphere by  Jane Hwang, into a rehersal room by  the stundets of the Jazz Institute Berlin, into a m usic venue by musician Valerie Renay, and a transformative Deep Listening Party curated by Marieke Helmut featuring artists such as pitchwitch, filterqueen, and GUBBIANN. Complementing these performances were social research and movement-based workshops, including Wen Ling Chung’s urban foraging walks, Zsófia Puszt’s photographic workshop, Paula Caldirola’s dance laboratory, and a dj set led by Alessandra Plaza Saravia and Anisha Müller.
